Product description: 

radar level meter is a liquid (material) level recording instrument in the measurement,the microwave pulse is sent 

by the antenna,  and then is reflected by the material surface , then is received by the radar systems, then is sent to 

the electronic circuit, the microprocessor can identify the microwave pulse echo regenerate the material or the 

surface of the liquid, the correct signal is done by intelligent software, up to millimeter accuracy, nonapplicable harsh 

environments.

F = measuring range

E = the empty distance (= zero)

   The UB = top of the blanking distance

LB = distance to the bottom of the blind spot

LN = length of the probe

B = minimum distance of the probe to the wall of the tank

a.The top of the blind spot is the minimum distance between the highest object measurement 

reference point.  

b.The bottom blind means can not be accurately measured over a distance of the vicinity of the 

cable bottommost.

c.The effective measurement” iu” distance between the top blind with the bottom of the blind, the 

empty tank value 

and full tank value can be set freely within this range.

Note:

When the level is at the top of the blind spot or the bottom of the blind spot, the level value can not be measured 

exactly.

3.1 Electrical connection and program 

3.1.1. PRM programmer

a. The PRM programmer has six buttons and a LCD.

b. The display screen can display the adjustment menu and parameter settings.

c. It is functional equivalent of an analytical processing instrument.

3.1.2. HART communication

a. Minimum load: 250 Ohm.

b. Protection circuit: reverse polarity, radio frequency interference, and peak overvoltage.

3.2.Explosion proof model:

a. The explosion proof model radar level meter uses plating plastic casing and internal rubber seal structure, so as to 

ensure that when the transducer circuit part is fault, the spark will not bleed out. The product is suitable for the less 

flammable medium iaIIBT5 Explosion levels continuous non-contact level measurement.

b. This product is explosion-proof type of intrinsically safe, explosion-proof mark: ExiaIIBT5. For the height of the

 measured level. Powered by FBS-1 type barrier, supply voltage DC24V ± 10%, the short-circuit current of 210mA.

c.  FBS-1 barrier of the products associated equipment, explosion-proof intrinsically safe type. Ex-mark: [Exia] IIB.

3.3. Electrical connection:

a. All cables are shielded cable, the maximum length of 500m. Distributed capacitance ≤ 0.1uF/Km, 

the distributed inductance ≤ 1mH/Km.

b. Radar level meter installation site must be connected to the earth.

c. It can not be connected with other related equipment without explosion-proof test.
